Karen Gillan has supposedly revealed episode 8 of series 6's villain, in an interview with Zap2it, and it's a brand new alien called the Tesselecter (or something that resembles that word.) She also discussed what motherhood to River/Melody will be like for Amy:
“Motherhood would change any woman, so it’s definitely going to be the same for Amy,” says Gillan. “We’re just going to see that relationship really explored between River and Amy. And something really interesting happens to Amy, which I can’t tell you about. “
